Some of the stories from the road:

Shae - Brow Stylist

Shae, a talented brow artist, is currently travelling around Australia in a caravan with her family. She offers eyebrow reshaping, waxing, tinting, and trimming services. Looking for a way to continue her business on the road, Shae found Done On The Road and decided to list her brow styling services on the platform, specifying her location as Broome.

Shortly after joining, we featured Shae’s business on our social media channels. Within a week, she booked two jobs. Shae was happy with the results. “I had two clients yesterday from your business! Both said they saw the post you shared, thank you so much! I’ve got some clients today, but I’ll update with more photos of the services I did,” she shared with us.

Done On The Road helps travellers to expand their businesses, no matter where their journeys take them.

Zack - Plumber

Zac travelling around Australia with his family in a caravan is making the most of their travels by offering his plumbing services on the road. Already listed on the Done On The Road platform, Zac responded to a job request from a fellow traveller and picked up some work.

The traveller needed the water pressure regulator on his motorhome replaced and already had the part ready. After Zack confirmed the details—requirements, location, timing, and price—Zac made his way to the traveller’s campground in Esperance and completed the job within 15 minutes.

For his quick and efficient work, Zac earned $80. The traveller was so pleased with the service that he asked, "Just used a service and it was excellent. Is there a place to leave a review?"

Zac’s experience is a perfect example of how Done On The Road connects skilled professionals with travellers in need, making it easy for everyone to get the job done efficiently while enjoying life on the road.

Starlink Installation - Nullarbor

We pulled into a roadside stop on the Nullarbor, with only us and a couple in a motorhome nearby. As we were settling in, the gentleman from the motorhome strolls over and asked, "Hey, are you the Done On The Road guys?"

He then shared how he came across "I Sat On The Road," who was listed on the Done On The Road platform. They ended up installing Starlink on his motorhome just a few weeks ago. He spoke about how easy and helpful it was to use a fellow traveller instead of having to book it locally.

Who's behind DOTR?

Done On The Road was founded by Hayley and Mac, a couple who have been traveling full-time around Australia in their caravan with their two young boys since 2022. After selling their home in Sydney, they set out in search of a simpler, more adventurous life.

Along the way, they encountered the challenges of finding reliable services on the road, which inspired them to create Done On The Road. With Mac's extensive experience in product development from his time at ZipPay and Hayley's background in marketing, they built a platform that empowers travellers to connect, share skills, and support each other while exploring the beauty of Australia.
